E r i c   N o r d i n

Eric Nordin (conceiver/writer/piano performance) is a composer, musical director, pianist and educator. He is a three time Drammy Award winner, most recently for music direction of "Ablaze: an a capella musical thriller" produced by Staged! He winner of three two 2011 Drammy Awards for Outstanding Musical Direction and Best Ensemble for Miracle Theatre/Staged!’s production of "Songs for a New World." Recent projects include participation in the 4×4=8 project at Fertile Ground 2013 and music direction of "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson" at Portland Playhouse. His original score for Oregon Cabaret Theatre’s production of "The Wizard of Pantoland," will see a second production this winter in Ashland, OR. He arranged and composed the original adaptation of Many Hats Collaboration’s music theatre work, "Find Me Beside You." Nordin is currently Director of Forte Music School where he oversees 7 music teachers and 200 students each semester.

Jessica Wallenfels (director/choreographer) recently choreographed three productions for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s 2013 season, her fourth season working with the Festival. She is the winner of a 2013 Drammy Award for Outstanding Choreography for her work on "Ablaze: an a capella musical thriller" for Staged! Wallenfels choreographed and performed in “Famished,” presented by Portland Playhouse in the Fertile Ground Festival 2012. Credits include Seattle Repertory Theatre, Portland Center Stage, Artists Repertory Theatre and Tanglewood Music Center. She has choreographed new and original work in New York and Los Angeles. Original works with her company, Many Hats Collaboration, include “Find Me Beside You,” “Truth and Beauty,” “Rest Room,” “Mutt,” “Stages,” and “Break, Then Open.” Wallenfels has directed and taught at Portland State University, Pacific University, Willamette University, Portland Community College, Portland Actors Conservatory and California State Summer School of the Arts. She holds a BFA from California Institute of the Arts and attended Dell’Arte International. She was awarded Drammy Awards for Outstanding Choreography for her work on "Sometimes a Great Notion" at Portland Center Stage and "Gracie and the Atom" for Artists Repertory Theatre. She is the winner of a PAMTA Award for Outstanding Choreography for her original show, "Find Me Beside You."

William Sam Gregory (co-writer) is a playwright with over 30 performed original works to his credit. In 2012, he participated in Portland Center Stage’s Just Add Water with his play “Mermance,” and his verse drama “Saint in a Cage” received a workshop at Portland Theater Works. In 2011, his verse adaptation of “Fuente Ovejuna” was selected as the Phil Killian Play Reading at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. In 2007 he was awarded The Walt Morely Fellowship for Playwrights from Oregon Literary Awards, and in 1999 the world premiere of his play “Mary Tudor” received three Drammy awards including “Best Production of a New Play.” Gregory is a graduate of Southern Oregon State University.
